FUTURES CUP
Wil Pugh - U17 Wales
John Bennett - U15 Wales Archie Fisher - U15 North Ela Pugh - U15 Wales Good Luck to four of our members playing in the Futures Cup this weekend. Two age groups U15 and U17 with both boys and girls participating in this national competition from six different parts of the whole of the UK. It is the first time we have had a girl, Ela Pugh who is the sister of Will, selected and the first time we have had three boys selected within the same year. It is a great recognition of our Junior Section and how we manage our Juniors within our senior teams. Congratulations to all involved at Neston Hockey Club.

New 1st Team Coaches and Junior Co-Ordinator
We have three new faces in important roles at Neston HC. Ex-England International Nick Clark takes on the role of Ladies 1's team Coach. We welcome Ken Gardiner back to the Club having gained valuable experience at Brooklands for the past two years, he takes over as Mens 1st team Coach. Claire Woolley takes on one of the most important roles Co-ordinating our successful Junior section.

NHC's very own Ellie and Richard got married!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Perkins with Rosie the dog on their big day. All three will be ready for the new Hockey season in September!

Barry Roberts earns Wales O40 Cap
Neston's very own Barry Roberts won his Welsh international O40's Cap this week in the European Championships beating Germany 5-2 in Rotterdam.

U13 North West England selection
Ethan Hogarth, Cos Maoudis, Ewan McPherson, and Henry Harle, were all selected fo North West England, Tensworth. We also have four girls who played: Priya Kerfoot, Halle Brown, Holly Jones and Skye Woolley. Congratulations to Priya who was selected to play for the UK Lions!

Connor Horrigan
Wales U21 Cap 
Congratulations to Neston's Connor Horrigan, who has been selected for Wales U21 in the friendly against Scotland in preparations for the European Championships in Lithuania. He is one of the youngest in the team as he is still U18!

Neston U14 Girls Runners-Up in North Finals
Congratulations to Neston HC U14 Girls who came Runners-Up in the North Finals. They beat Brooklands and Alderley Edge, but sadly lost to Fylde, who go to the National Finals.

Neston HC Players run London marathon
Congratulations to John Harris, Ollie Mills, George Falck, Pete Cooper and Emma Furneaux ran the London marathon in aid of Clic Sargent, the Young persons Cancer Charity and in memory of loved ones, Will Falck and Elisha Carter.

A succesful END OF SEASON AWARDS was had and the U12, U14 and Beavers and Badgers all received Awards for the season. Sally Bush, who has done a great job over the last four years, is stepping down as Junior Co-ordinater with Claire Woolley taking over for next season.

Neston HC Juniors represent UK U13's in Rotterdam
Rebecca Hennessy and Ollie MacNicol Graham played for the UK Lions in The Rotterdam Tournament over the Easter break.

Neston HC Mens 1's Promoted to the
North Premier League 
It is twenty years since Neston Mens Hockey played at this level, the Ladies have played at this level for two seasons! It means they are both one league off National League Hockey.

Congratulations to Connor Horrigan, Ela Pugh and John Bennett, who have been selected for U18 and U16 age groups, they played against Scotland, over Easter.

Neston HC Awards Dinner Celebration
A great evening was had by all 175 who attended. Club Captains Rob Fisher and Emma Nokes MC'd an evening of Awards and celebration. Thanks to all at the Club who helped. Craig Stubbs, Nick Morrison and all the bar staff who had a late night, we appreciate your efforts.

Promoted to North West Division 4 The Mens 1's, 3's and 4's have all been promoted, congratulations to the Mens 4's led by Justin Cowley on becoming Champions of Division 5. Congratulations to the Ladies 2's led by Ellie Newall who came equal 1st in the Cheshire 2nd Division, but sadly the goal difference meant they finished 2nd by 4 goals! The Ladies 3's have just discovered that they are promoted due to Bebington 1's dropping out in the league above.

Neston U18 Girls lost in the Quarter Finals of the England Hockey Championships to Rugby and East Warwick’s. A great effort for the girls who have had a great season!

Neston U14 UK Lion Hockey player selected for Australia game
Ollie MacNichol Graham (pictured above) has been selected for the UK Lions Hockey Team that drew 2-2 with Australia U14 Boys recently. He along with Rebecca Hennessy another Neston Hockey player who plays for the UK Lions U14 Girls Team will be going to Holland and Ireland for a tour later in the season.

U13 UK Lion success
The North West U13 teams that played in the National U13 Championships in Nottingham in June. Neston had nine players, Rebecca Hennessy, Rosie Harle, Priya Kerfoot and Hattie Canning and Olli McNicol Graham, Jack Cowley, Jack Price, Cos Maoudis, and Cameron Woolley. Congratulations to all and we had good news as Rebecca Hennessy and Ollie MacNicol Graham were selected for the UK Lions.

Izzie Howell played for Hockey Wales at The 2018 Commonwealth Games, playing in all the matches that included India, England, South Africa, Malaysia and Ghana winning 5 caps! She has played for Neston 1st team for the past 3 years and hopes to go to University next year! Congratulations and good luck from all at Neston!
